In a major step towards strengthening economic collaboration between Australia and India, the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) and the Canberra Business Chamber have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), as announced in a recent Facebook post by AIBC.
The agreement was formalised by Deepak-Raj Gupta OAM, National Chair of AIBC, and Greg Harford, CEO of the Canberra Business Chamber. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to advancing trade opportunities, fostering business growth, and deepening bilateral ties between the two countries.
With a network of over 35,000 members, the Canberra Business Chamber plays a vital role in supporting businesses across the ACT. Meanwhile, AIBC continues to lead efforts to enhance bilateral trade and investment between Australia and India.
Key highlights of the MoU include reciprocal valued memberships, cross-promotion of events and initiatives, discounted access to trade events, and opportunities for co-branded activities. These collaborative efforts aim to increase visibility, engagement, and mutual success for members of both organisations.
This MoU is part of AIBC’s broader strategy to build similar partnerships with state-based business chambers across Australia, further bridging the two dynamic economies through shared innovation and cooperation.
