The 150th Sthapna Diwas of the Arya Samaj Foundation was celebrated with great reverence and community spirit on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the QVCC in Willawong, Brisbane.
The milestone event honoured 150 years of Arya Samaj’s enduring contributions to society, culture, and spiritual growth. The program began with the traditional Hawan Yajna and the ceremonial lighting of the diya, setting a sacred tone for the day’s proceedings.
Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Queensland (APSQ) president Nirmala Ray delivered the welcome address, followed by a soulful welcome song by Kaushaliya Prasad. The celebration featured engaging speeches from community leaders and dignitaries, poetry recitations, yoga demonstrations, laughter therapy, and vibrant performances reflecting the cultural values upheld by Arya Samaj.
The event was graced by Consul General Neetu Bhagotia as Chief Guest, Pandit Pramodh Rai, APSQ Patron Retd Justice Pt. Devendra Pathik, Jess Pugh MP, Margie Nightingale MP (State Member for Inala), and Dr. Preethi Suraj, president of the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ), who expressed her pride in being part of such a significant celebration.
Guests enjoyed an evening of reflection, unity, and cultural pride, concluding with a community dinner and refreshments. The celebration served as a powerful reminder of the Arya Samaj Foundation’s legacy and its ongoing commitment to promoting Vedic values and social reform.
