The Craft Triennial exhibition titled “The Stitching Stories,” was organized, recently. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi visited the exhibition along with other guests. The exhibition highlighted intricate textile artwork by the Porgai Artisans Association. The exhibition, held at the Fremantle Fibonacci Centre, concluded on August 25 as part of the ongoing Indian Ocean Craft Triennial 2024.
During his visit, Consul General Takhi interacted with two visiting artisans, Thaikulam and Vaideshwari, as well as Dr. Lalitha Regi from the Lambadi community of Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu. The exhibition received support from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in Australia and the Indian Consulate, highlighting the deep cultural ties between Australia and India
