Besides one of our highly respected community members Mr Shyam Das’ immense psychological strength that is evident in the way he is coping with the greatest loss that can befall a man, loss of his only young son, it is also evident that he is a commendable human being. He is currently supporting a very worthy cause and wants to draw the support of the community.
Indian News Queensland is pleased to be publishing his following message to the community members.
“We have created a donation page or link in memory of my son Andre Das to support the great cause of Beyond Blue. Your generosity and support will make a big difference!
“I’ve created this page because I want to make a difference. I do not want other young people to end up like my son Andre.
“Two weeks today I came home from work and found him dead. I wish he had talked to me or reached out to other family members and friends. I would like to make a special request to all young people out there, it is okay to talk about your problems especially the young men, it is okay to show your emotions after all we are all human and we all face a brick wall at some stage of our lives but please do not think it is the end of the world, you are precious to your family and tomorrow is always a better day. It is said a problem shared is a problem halved. Please reach out and ask for help. I’m inspired by the work of Beyond Blue, and I believe Andre was already a supporter of Beyond Blue. I would like to continue what he started by raising money.
“In Memoriam — Andre Das. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the ‘Give Now’ button. The more people that know about Beyond Blue, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity; it means a lot!
“In loving memory of my precious son Andre Das, who was only 24 years of age.”
Shree Shyam Das — Managing Director, Target Travels and Tours
