Brisbane, April 27 (Australia India News Newsdesk)
The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) participated in the ANZAC Day Parade, joining members of the India Australia War Memorial Association in paying tribute to those who served and sacrificed for freedom.
Representing the wider Indian diaspora, FICQ’s participation aimed not only to honour the brave men and women of the armed forces but also to raise greater awareness of the significant role played by Indian soldiers during World Wars I and II — particularly their contribution to the ANZAC legacy.
Walking alongside fellow Queenslanders in solemn remembrance, FICQ members paid their respects and stood in solidarity, reflecting on the values of courage, mateship, and resilience that continue to unite all Australians.
