The event showcases rich cultural heritage of India

A vibrant exhibition celebrating India’s diverse painting traditions was recently inaugurated at Queen’s Hall in the Victorian Parliament, with Consul General of India Dr. Sushil Kumar joining Victorian Minister for Industry and Advanced Manufacturing Collin Brooks MP and Lee Tarlamis OAM MP for the event.
The exhibition featured a stunning array of traditional Indian art forms, including Madhubani, Tanjore, Pattachitra, Kalighat, Cheriyal, Rajasthani, and Pichwai paintings, offering a visual journey through India’s rich cultural history.
Organised by Senthil Vel, President of the International Indian Folk Art Gallery (IIFAG), Australia, the event drew the attention of several Members of Parliament and distinguished guests from various sectors, all eager to explore the intricate beauty and storytelling embedded in Indian folk and classical art.
The exhibition not only highlighted India’s artistic legacy but also served as a platform to promote cross-cultural understanding and support the work of Indian artists on a global stage.
