Members of the Indian Medical Association Queensland (IMA QLD) gathered at the Indian Consulate in Brisbane on Sunday to offer their heartfelt condolences and prayers for the victims of the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. As many as 27 people were killed and several injured in a terror attack on the tourists in Pahalgam of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025.
The solemn event saw doctors and community members come together in solidarity with the victims’ families and to condemn the act of violence. Floral tributes were offered, and a moment of silence was observed to honour those who lost their lives in the senseless attack.
Leaders of IMA QLD expressed deep sorrow and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace and unity. Officials at the Indian Consulate thanked the community for standing together during this difficult time.
The gathering reflected the strong emotional ties the Indian community in Queensland maintains with their homeland and their collective stand against terrorism in all forms.
