Police are hunting for a man believed to be armed with a machete after he sliced a woman’s leg at a Gold Coast park.
The woman, believed to be in her 30s suffered what a police spokesman said was a serious cut to her leg and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The spokesman said police were called to a patch of bushland in Ngulli Bui Park in Arundel about 11.45am.
More than half a dozen crews were searching for the attacker, who was believed to be armed with a machete, he said.
