The women’s wing of Queensland Tamil Mandram, Thozhi, recently hosted a vibrant celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, spotlighting the strength, achievements, and cultural contributions of Tamil women in Queensland.
Held recently in Brisbane, the event carried the theme of inclusivity, culture, and shared achievements. It brought together women from diverse backgrounds within the Tamil community to honour their roles in shaping society.
The celebration featured cultural performances, storytelling, and a series of tributes to women who have made significant contributions in fields such as education, community service, arts, and entrepreneurship.
“This event is not just about celebrating women—it’s about creating space for Tamil women to be seen, heard, and valued,” said one of the organisers from Thozhi.
