Sydney, July 14

The Australia India Business Council (AIBC) joined the business community at the inaugural Franchise Industry Awards, hosted by the Franchise Council of Australia at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney.

As a Ruby Sponsor of the event, AIBC took part in recognising the role of the franchising sector across business, community, government, and media. The Awards brought together business leaders, franchise operators, and representatives from various sectors.

AIBC National Chair Deepak-Raj Gupta OAM presented the Franchise of the Year – Single Unit in Hospitality category. The event also marked a collaborative moment for AIBC with key industry figures.

The Council extended its appreciation to Franchise Council CEO Jayson Westbury and Warwick Ryan for their efforts in creating a platform that brought together members of AIBC and the wider business community.

The evening was attended by several distinguished guests, including Consul General for India in Sydney, Greg Matthews; former cricketer Tim Thomas; and Janakiraman Sarvesvaran, along with partners and associates of AIBC.

AIBC acknowledged the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and reaffirmed its commitment to working with business groups in supporting Australia-India economic ties.
