The High Commission of India, Canberra, in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), organised a webinar titled “GST 2.0: India’s Tax Transformation”, focusing on the evolution and impact of India’s landmark tax reform.
The event explored how the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has streamlined India’s taxation framework, enhanced transparency, and boosted economic growth. Speakers emphasised the reform’s pivotal role in driving India’s aspiration for Viksit Bharat 2047, an initiative aimed at achieving a developed and inclusive economy.
The webinar also highlighted the continued efforts of policymakers and industry leaders to strengthen the tax system, encouraging innovation and ease of doing business as India moves towards its long-term development goals.
