Devotees celebrate 24 years of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Rosehill

Sydney, February 10 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Rosehill marked its 24th Patotsav earlier this year, celebrating 24 years since the consecration of its original murtis by Pramukh Swami Maharaj in February 2002. The milestone reflected the mandir’s enduring contribution to spiritual life and community engagement in Sydney.

Over the years, the mandir has grown alongside the local Hindu community. A larger structure was later developed on the same site and officially opened in May 2013, further strengthening its role as a place of worship and cultural connection. Even with the establishment of a new BAPS mandir in Kemps Creek, the Rosehill centre continues to serve as a significant hub for thousands of devotees.

The mandir’s community presence has also drawn visits from prominent figures, including Piyush Goyal in 2024 and Rajnath Singh in 2025. This year’s anniversary celebrations brought together devotees, volunteers, and community leaders, with local representative Donna Davis among those who joined in marking the occasion.

Organisers described the Patotsav as an opportunity to reflect on more than two decades of faith, service, and unity, while reaffirming the mandir’s ongoing role in supporting cultural and spiritual life within the wider Sydney community.
