AI Innovation Summit highlights Australia–India cooperation in emerging technologies

Perth, March 4 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

 The AI Innovation Summit Australia–India was hosted at the Consulate on February 25, 2026, in partnership with Innovate Australia, bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss collaboration and innovation in artificial intelligence.

Innovate Australia is an initiative that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and cooperation within Australia’s business ecosystem. It supports startups, researchers, small businesses, and industry partners in developing new ideas and scaling innovative solutions.

The summit provided a platform for participants to showcase technological innovation, explore potential partnerships, and strengthen Australia–India engagement in emerging technologies that are influencing economic growth and social change.

Dr Adam Osseiran, Co-Founder and Director of Innovate Australia and Chairman of the Hydrogen Society of Australia, served as Master of Ceremonies and moderator. In his remarks, he highlighted Australia’s expanding advanced technology sector and stressed the need for collaboration across industries to foster innovation.

The Lord Mayor of the City of Perth, Councillor Bruce Reynolds, delivered a special address in which he spoke about Perth’s growing importance as a technology and innovation hub in the Indo-Pacific region. He also expressed support for greater cooperation between AI companies and local innovation networks.

In her keynote address, the Consul General of India in Perth emphasised the importance of stronger bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence. Referring to the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held in New Delhi, she spoke about India’s MANAV vision for AI—Moral, Accountable, National, Accessible and Valid systems—and noted the potential for Western Australia and India to work together in advancing AI capabilities.

Joining virtually, Dr Chandrasekhar Buddha, CEO of Anuvadini AI, discussed the role of AI in education, skills development, and inclusivity. He presented Anuvadini as a “Make in India” generative AI platform capable of translating content across 29 languages.

Ajay Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of MonkSpaces.AI, addressed the commercial and startup perspective of artificial intelligence innovation, highlighting the importance of cross-border scalability and collaboration among technology ecosystems.

David Lucido, Founder and Managing Director of Sentient Hubs, demonstrated how artificial intelligence-driven simulation and impact modelling can support infrastructure planning, climate resilience, and data-driven decision-making.
