Jaipur, April 2 (IANS) Rajasthan has recorded a significant rise in funds received from the Centre during the financial year 2025-26, attributed to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s active coordination and effective implementation of schemes, according to an official statement from the Chief Minister’s Public Relations Cell.​

The state received a total of Rs 1,20,369 crore through centrally sponsored schemes, the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASKI), Finance Commission grants, and its share in central taxes, the highest amount received in any single year compared to the previous government’s tenure. ​

Notably, around Rs 19,000 crore was released in March alone, marking a substantial inflow of funds toward the end of the financial year. ​

Under the SASKI scheme, which provides interest-free loans to states for capital expenditure, Rajasthan received Rs 10,548 crore in 2025-26, significantly higher than the Rs 7,290 crore received between 2020-21 and 2022-23.​

Funds released via the SNA-SPARSH platform for centrally sponsored schemes stood at Rs 13,658 crore, while Rs 15,666 crore was received under Finance Commission recommendations and other grants.​

The state received over Rs 2,693 crore for the health sector under the 15th Finance Commission, the highest in the past five years, compared to ₹833 crore during the last three years of the previous government. ​

Expenditure under the National Health Mission (NHM) also improved significantly, rising from 72 per cent in 2021-22 to 98 per cent in both 2024-25 and 2025-26, indicating better utilisation of funds. ​

Under the Samagra Shiksha programme, Rajasthan received Rs 2,972 crore in 2025-26 and over Rs 3,093 crore in 2024-25, compared to lower allocations in earlier years. ​

Additionally, Rs 409 crore was sanctioned for school infrastructure beyond regular allocations.​

The state also received Rs 1,694 crore under the Central Road Fund, surpassing allocations from the final two years of the previous government. ​

Rajasthan has emerged as a leading state in implementing schemes through the SNA-SPARSH platform, earning an incentive grant of Rs 350 crore from the Centre. ​

The state government said the increased inflow of funds reflects strong Centre-State coordination under the ‘double-engine government’, aimed at accelerating development across sectors such as health, education, rural development, agriculture, drinking water, and infrastructure.
