Pakistan may ask Noble Prize even for Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar: Kavitha

Hyderabad, April 10 (IANS) Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha said on Friday that Pakistan may even seek the Nobel Peace Prize for terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.

She was reacting to media reports that Pakistan is asking for the Nobel Prize for three of its leaders.

“Today we are hearing very interesting news that Pakistan is asking for a Nobel Peace Prize for three of its leaders—different people. I believe they have also passed a resolution in their National Assembly. It is really funny because earlier they were asking for a Nobel Peace Prize for Mr Trump; now they are asking for themselves,” she said.

“Looks like in the future, they are going to even ask for terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar as well,” she remarked.

“Nobel for Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar next? A terror state like Pakistan demanding a Nobel for its leaders is laughable. First, they wanted one for Trump; now they demand three for their own. In the future, they might as well demand one for terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar. While it seems funny now, as Indians, it is our fundamental duty to expose Pakistan on the world stage. We must tweet, post, and act at every level to ensure this rogue nation doesn’t even make it to the nominations,” she posted on X.

On the West Bengal elections, Kavitha said that she wants Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to win another term in power. “I’m not following the Bengal election on a micro level, but as a woman and as an admirer of Mamata Didi, I really want her to win. I am hoping, ‘Didi, you are in my prayers'”

The former MP alleged corruption in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and blamed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for the same.

Kavitha claimed that works worth around Rs 1,118 crore have been awarded through nomination without any tender.

“This practice began under Congress and has continued since. I demand that the Chief Minister, who is also the Municipal Minister, immediately stop this. Every project, big or small, must go through a proper tendering process. Tendering must be the priority, and accountability in spending public money should be the top priority,” she said.
