Bhopal, April 13 (IANS) In a move aimed at strengthening welfare measures for party workers, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) medical cell in Madhya Pradesh is set to launch the ‘Seva Prakalp’ at the party’s state headquarters in Bhopal on April 14.

The initiative will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla and BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, underlining the leadership’s focus on the programme.

According to Dr Vishal Singh Baghel, state convener of the BJP medical cell, the initiative has been designed to provide timely medical assistance and guidance to party workers in need. He said the project aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and seeks to ensure accessible healthcare support within the organisation.

“Under the ‘Seva Prakalp’, a dedicated help desk will be set up at the BJP state headquarters in Bhopal, along with a consultation room where experienced doctors and specialists will offer medical advice, preliminary diagnosis, and guidance,” Madhya Pradesh BJP media cell in-charge Ashish Agarwal said on Monday.

He said the initiative is expected to function as a dependable support system, particularly for workers requiring immediate medical attention or help in navigating healthcare services.

The project will also facilitate access to government health schemes, including Ayushman Bharat, by providing information and assisting in resolving issues faced by beneficiaries. It will further help arrange financial assistance through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and discretionary grants for eligible individuals.

He added that the application process has been kept simple and transparent, requiring basic documents such as medical certificates, estimated treatment costs, income proof, and identity cards. Cases involving serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, and kidney-related ailments will be prioritised to ensure timely intervention.

To widen its reach, information about the initiative will be shared through social media, WhatsApp networks, print media, and organisational meetings at the grassroots level. A mobile application is also expected to be launched to streamline services and improve access.

“With the presence of senior leadership at its launch, the ‘Seva Prakalp’ is poised to become an important initiative in enhancing healthcare support and reinforcing organisational welfare within the BJP in Madhya Pradesh,” Agarwal said.
