Jaipur, April 13 (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated that the youth are the driving force determining the direction and future of the nation.

Emphasising the government’s commitment, he said the “double engine” government is working with a clear vision to empower youth, urging them to strive to achieve their dreams while assuring full government support.

Addressing participants via video conferencing during the My Bharat Budget Quest: Rajasthan Youth Dialogue at the Rajasthan International Centre, the Chief Minister noted that platforms like these help youth better understand economic policies and evolve into responsible citizens. Participants expressed gratitude for key initiatives such as transparent recruitment processes and the formulation of a dedicated Youth Policy.

Highlighting the government’s focus on employment and fairness, Sharma said a Special Investigation Team was constituted immediately after the formation of the government to probe paper leak cases.

As a result, 420 accused have been arrested in connection with the use of dummy candidates, fake degrees, and other recruitment-related irregularities. He added that over 351 examinations have been conducted transparently in the past two years without any incidents of paper leaks.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to employment, the Chief Minister stated that against the target of 4 lakh government jobs, more than 1.25 lakh youth have already been provided government jobs.

Additionally, around 3 lakh employment opportunities have been generated in the private sector. He emphasised that through interest-free loans and supportive policies, the government is encouraging youth to move from job seekers to job creators.

Sharma further highlighted that Rajasthan offers vast opportunities across sectors such as solar energy, tourism, agriculture, and dairy.

He said the government has actively incorporated suggestions from youth during pre-budget consultations and is working continuously to fulfil their aspirations.

The Chief Minister informed that the State Skill Policy 2025 has been introduced to provide high-quality skill training, while the Rajasthan Youth Policy 2025 aims at holistic youth development. Yuva Saathi Kendras have been established in Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, Bikaner, and Ajmer to provide career guidance and promote a stress-free environment.

To address mental health concerns, the government has launched the Raj Mamta programme and implemented the Rajasthan Coaching Centres (Control and Regulation) Act to safeguard students and ensure psychological support.

On the occasion, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya said that under the leadership of PM Modi, efforts are underway to develop 1 lakh young leaders across the country. Through initiatives like My Bharat, youth participation is being strengthened to build a Viksit Bharat.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore, Member of Parliament Madan Rathore, and over 900 selected participants.
