Patna, April 25 (IANS) The upcoming edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is scheduled to be broadcast on Sunday (April 26), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar has intensified preparations to ensure its wide outreach.

A preparatory meeting was held at the state BJP office in Patna, with Mandal presidents and programme coordinators participating virtually to plan for the 133rd edition of the programme.

Addressing the meeting, state BJP President Sanjay Saraogi said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ serves as a monthly platform through which the Prime Minister connects directly with citizens.

He emphasised that arrangements are being made to ensure that the programme is broadcast at every polling booth, enabling maximum public participation and outreach.

“Our objective is to take the Prime Minister’s thoughts to every booth through organisational strength and public participation,” he said.

Sanjay Saraogi said that one of the key features of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is that it highlights and appreciates individuals doing exemplary work across various sectors of society, bringing their contributions to national attention.

State Organisation General Secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsaniya also joined the meeting virtually and provided guidance for the programme’s execution.

The meeting included detailed discussions on event structure and execution, strengthening organisational coordination, and ensuring wider public participation.

State Vice President and programme coordinator Rajendra Singh, along with the state-level team, outlined strategies to make the event impactful.

‘Mann Ki Baat’ focuses mainly on national issues and public participation, campaigns like ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, and themes such as sanitation, women’s empowerment, sports, science, art, and culture.

The programme has evolved into a key medium for direct communication between PM Modi and citizens, promoting the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).

The April 26 broadcast assumes significance as the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections is approaching.
