Chhattisgarh govt announces major administrative reshuffle, transfers 42 officers

Raipur, May 6 (IANS) The Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring senior IAS officers, principal secretaries and district collectors across the state.

The move is aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

According to the official order, Richa Sharma has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development, while Manoj Kumar Pingua will now serve as Additional Chief Secretary, Forest and Climate Change.

Subodh Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given additional charge of the Energy Department.

Niharika Barik has been shifted to the Home and Jails Department, while Shahla Nigar has been appointed Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development.

Rohit Yadav has taken over as Secretary, Finance, while Kamalpreet Singh has been posted to the School Education Department.

Pardeshi Siddharth Komal has been appointed Agriculture Production Commissioner in the Agriculture Department.

Reena Baba Saheb Kangale will now head the Commercial Taxes (Excise) Department, while Avinash Champawat has been given additional charge of Higher Education.

Mukesh Kumar Bansal has been assigned finance-related responsibilities along with the Public Works Department, and R. Sangeetha has been posted to the Urban Administration and Development Department.

Ankit Anand will continue as Secretary, Housing and Environment, after being relieved of the Commercial Taxes (Registration) portfolio.

Bhuvnesh Yadav has been shifted to the Planning, Economics and Statistics Department, while S. Bharathidasan will now head Tourism, Culture and Endowments.

Shammi Abidi has been appointed Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, and Basavaraju S. has been posted to Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment.

Mohammad Kaiser Abdulhaque will continue as Secretary, Public Health Engineering, with additional charge as Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission.

Rajesh Singh Rana has been appointed Secretary, Village Industries, while Mahadev Kavre has been made Commissioner of Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies.

Shyam Lal Dhavade has taken charge as Commissioner of Raipur Division, and Saransh Mittar has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of CREDA.

Padum Singh Elma has been posted as Commissioner of Excise, while Sanjeev Kumar Jha will additionally serve as Managing Director of the National Health Mission.

Ranbir Sharma has been transferred to the Social Welfare Department, while Pushpa Sahu has been appointed Collector of Korea district.

Rajendra Kumar Katara has been posted as Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, while Santosh Kumar Dewangan has been appointed Collector of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi.

S. Jayavardhan has been appointed Director, Treasury and Accounts, and Prabhat Malik will serve as Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister.

D. Rahul Venkat has been made Commissioner of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development, while Chandan Sanjay Tripathi has been posted as Collector of Balrampur-Ramanujganj.

Roktima Yadav has been appointed Commissioner of Higher Education, while Leena Kamlesh Mandavi has been made Managing Director of the Khadi and Village Industries Board.

Santan Devi Jangde has been posted as Collector of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, while Sanjay Kannauje has been appointed Director of Culture.

Padmini Bhoi Sahu has taken charge as Collector of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, and Sambit Mishra has been posted as Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation.

Rena Jamil has been appointed Collector of Surajpur, while Vishwadip has been transferred to Bijapur.

Rita Yadav has been made Secretary of the Board of Secondary Education, while Rishabh Kumar Parashar has been given additional responsibilities as Director of Budget and Director of Local Fund Audit.

Officials said the reshuffle involving 42 officers reflects the government’s effort to streamline administrative responsibilities and improve delivery of public services across departments and districts.

The changes mark one of the most extensive administrative reorganisations in the state in recent years.
