Patna, May 6 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has scripted a historic victory in West Bengal, winning 206 seats, will be forming the government in the state for the first time. The incumbent All India Trinamool Congress was reduced to 81 seats.

Reacting sharply to the outcome, Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, questioned the credibility of the electoral process and alleged irregularities.

He claimed that the BJP’s victory was the result of a conspiracy and asserted that the truth would eventually come to light.

Casting doubt on the role of the Election Commission of India, Tejashwi remarked, “When the umpire itself becomes dishonest, how can one expect a fair election?”

He further alleged that the ruling party had leveraged government machinery and systemic advantages to secure the win.

In addition, Tejashwi Yadav pointed to broader concerns regarding the electoral process in multiple states, including Bihar, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu.

He reiterated his party’s commitment to continue its political struggle and expressed confidence in eventual success.

Tejashwi Yadav also highlighted his party’s performance in Kerala, noting that the Rashtriya Janata Dal contested elections there for the first time on three seats and won one.

Commenting on the likely induction of Nishant Kumar into a ministerial role, he said it held little significance and dismissed accusations of dynastic politics.

Hitting out at the Bihar government, he alleged administrative failure over the past several months, claiming that law and order have deteriorated and that criminal elements are operating freely.

He also raised concerns about alleged fake encounters, accusing authorities of misusing investigations to target the opposition.

The RJD leader also criticised the state government over issues such as collapsing infrastructure, including bridges.

Recently, a section of the road bridge in Bhagalpur collapsed in the Ganga River, leading to huge inconvenience for the common people.

The opposition leaders are strongly criticising the state government over massive corruption.
