Patna, May 11 (IANS) In a major governance initiative aimed at resolving public grievances efficiently, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Monday launched the ‘Sahyog Portal’ and Helpline Number 1100.​

The Chief Minister inaugurated the system remotely from the ‘Samvad’ hall at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, located at 4 Deshratna Marg.​

The portal (sahyog.bihar.gov.in) features a real-time monitoring system designed to ensure transparency and accountability in grievance redressal.​

During the launch, Additional Chief Secretary B. Rajender explained that the initiative’s primary objective is to make grievance resolution time-bound, transparent, and accessible.​

Under the new system, complaints can be filed online and offline, and each grievance will be resolved within 30 days.​

The status updates and compliance reports will be available online, and senior officials will track cases through a real-time dashboard.​

A key feature of the initiative is the ‘Sahyog Shivir’ (camp) program, which will be organised at the Panchayat level. It will be held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month, and citizens can submit their complaints directly, and officials will resolve issues on the ground.​

District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police will actively monitor the process to ensure efficiency.​

In a strong message on accountability, the Chief Minister announced that if a grievance is not resolved within 30 days, the concerned official will face automatic suspension on the 31st day.​

The system will even auto-generate suspension orders through the portal in cases of negligence.​

This marks one of the strictest enforcement mechanisms in public grievance systems.​

The government has prioritised resolving land disputes through transparent record management, addressing issues at the block, circle, and police station levels, providing basic services like roads, electricity, and water, and addressing cases related to waste management.​

The CM emphasised maintaining accurate records of government land and long-term occupants to ensure fair decision-making.​

To strengthen oversight, CCTV cameras are being installed in block offices, circle offices, and police stations. A dedicated dashboard in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) will monitor progress, and officials must regularly visit at least 5 Panchayats to review pending cases.​

CM Samrat Chaudhary stated that the Sahyog initiative will continue until public grievances are fully addressed.​

He also urged ministers and officials to actively participate in Sahyog Camps and governance programs.​
