Amaravati, May 12 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Assam.

Chandrababu Naidu, who attended the swearing-in ceremony in Guwahati, took to X to extend his greetings.

“Heartiest congratulations to Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma Ji on taking oath once again as the Chief Minister of Assam and securing a remarkable hat-trick for NDA. I also extend my warm congratulations and best wishes to all members of his Council of Ministers for a successful and impactful tenure in serving the people of Assam and contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji,” posted Naidu, whose Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is a key partner in the NDA government at the Centre.

Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, who is a minister in his Cabinet and the working president of TDP, also attended the swearing-in ceremony.

Lokesh stated that as a ‘towering’ leader from the Northeast, Himanta has set a benchmark for development-driven governance and transformative leadership.

“As NDA leaders, we are proud of the renewed mandate in Assam. Himanta ji’s leadership reflects Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s vision of inclusive growth, rapid development, strong governance and empowerment of every region of India – especially the Northeast, which today stands transformed into a major growth engine of the nation,” said Lokesh.

He also posted about their meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at Guwahati airport.

“The “Highway Man of India” continues to inspire all of us with his infectious enthusiasm for nation-building, transformative infrastructure and his relentless drive to build a faster, stronger India. Thank you sir for your warm words of appreciation for the work being done in Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of our CM Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu garu. Your encouragement means a lot to us as we work towards building world-class infrastructure and accelerating growth in AP,” wrote Lokesh.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also congratulated Himanta Sarma on taking the oath as the Chief Minister of Assam. The Jana Sena leader also congratulated all those who took the oath as ministers at the swearing-in ceremony.

“I am confident that under your leadership, the new government will continue to fulfil the aspirations of the people, strengthen border security, combat illegal immigration and anti-social elements with the support of our armed forces, and lead Assam towards greater growth and prosperity,” posted the actor-politician.
