Bhubaneswar, May 18 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin, on a two-day visit to Odisha on Monday, emphasised the need for stronger coordination between the government and the party organisation.

During his address at the BJP state core Committee meeting held at the Party’s state office here, Nabin asked the party leaders to strengthen coordination between the party organisation and the government in the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy CMs K.V. Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, state BJP president Manmohan Samal, along with senior ministers of the state government and MPs, attended the core committee meeting on Monday.

Speaking to media persons, MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi said the meeting was highly educational, inspirational, and focused on strengthening the party organisation in Odisha.

Sarangi said the BJP National President directed party workers to actively engage in public awareness campaigns and strengthen communication with the people at the grassroots level.

He said workers were asked to highlight public issues before the government and ensure solutions to people’s problems as part of their organisational responsibility.

According to Sarangi, Nabin also emphasised the importance of carrying forward the BJP’s campaign against corruption to the village level and making governance more transparent and corruption-free.

He further stated that the BJP National President reviewed ongoing programmes, including women’s outreach initiatives, public awareness rallies, and women’s gatherings, and encouraged party leaders to expand these campaigns across the state.

Sarangi said discussions were also held regarding organisational strengthening ahead of the upcoming Panchayat and urban local body elections.

The national president asked party functionaries to prepare comprehensive strategies and action plans for the elections. He added that the meeting provided clear organisational direction and renewed enthusiasm among BJP workers in Odisha.

The Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, said that the BJP core committee meeting focused on strengthening coordination between the government and the party organisation in Odisha.

Oram said the party president provided important guidance on improving coordination and communication between the government and the organisational structure of the BJP.

He stated that the leaders and party functionaries would work to implement the directions and suggestions given during the meeting to further strengthen the organisation and improve its functioning at all levels.
