Bihar: Chirag Paswan praises PM Modi on completing 12 years in office

Patna, May 26 (IANS) Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Tuesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years of leadership at the Centre, describing the period as a historic era of service, governance, and national development.

In a message shared on social media, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief recalled the swearing-in ceremony held on May 26, 2014, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

He stated that the moment PM Modi took the oath of office marked the beginning of a transformative journey for the country, focused on development, public welfare, and good governance.

Highlighting the achievements of the PM Modi government over the last 12 years, Chirag Paswan said that the welfare of the poor remained at the centre of policymaking throughout the period.

According to him, the Prime Minister’s vision transformed the principle of “Antyodaya” into a strong movement for self-reliance and inclusive development.

He further stated that public participation has turned development into a mass movement and contributed significantly to women’s empowerment, innovation, economic growth, and cultural resurgence across the country.

Praising PM Modi’s leadership on global diplomacy and national security, Chirag Paswan asserted that India today stands strong against terrorism and has emerged as a confident and credible power on the international stage due to the Prime Minister’s far-sighted policies.

Referring to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Chirag Paswan noted that the National Democratic Alliance returned to power with a clear majority after nearly a decade.

He said his party had decided to join the NDA after being impressed by PM Modi’s governance model and leadership style during his tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister.

Chirag Paswan also remembered the political vision of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, saying he had decided to align with the NDA in the larger interest of national development and public welfare.

Reaffirming his party’s support for the NDA, Chirag Paswan said the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has consistently stood with the alliance during the last three Lok Sabha elections and will continue to work for national interest and public service under PM Modi’s leadership.
