Bhopal, May 31 (IANS) In a fiery public address, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched a scathing attack on State Congress President Jitu Patwari, using strong and derogatory language that has intensified the political slugfest in the state.

Addressing a large gathering in Shujalpur, CM Yadav ridiculed Patwari’s leadership and described him as ineffective. “Whenever the winds of development sweep across the state, their ‘do kaudi ka adhyaksh’ (worthless president) goes around wailing in despair,” he said.

He further remarked that a Congress president is one whose own candidate flees from his legislative constituency. Never since Independence have we witnessed a president like this. You will find names like these — individuals who lose by a margin of forty thousand votes — only within the Congress party.

The remarks have sparked a sharp war of words between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.

Responding promptly on his X handle, Jitu Patwari hit back strongly, questioning the Chief Minister’s choice of language. He wrote, “Honourable Chief Minister, You called me ‘do Kaudi ka’ (worthless), you called me insignificant, and you even hurled abuses at me… So, are the sons of farmers truly worthless and insignificant in your eyes?”

Patwari drew a historical parallel, stating, “Even Atal-ji lost elections; Do these words, then, apply to him as well?” He then took a firm political pledge, “Yes, I take a pledge once again! In 2028, a government ‘of’ the sons of farmers — ‘of’ the people of Madhya Pradesh — one that is free from corruption and kickbacks — will definitely be formed, 100%!”

The state Congress chief concluded his post with a note of dignity: “The public is watching everything, Chief Minister; and one more thing — no one’s arrogance lasts forever. I humbly give my word that I will never use undignified language while referring to the Chief Minister of the state.”

The exchange underscores the growing bitterness between the two parties ahead of future electoral battles. The video of CM’s speech instantly went viral while both sides traded accusations of poor governance and lack of vision. As the state gears up for upcoming political challenges, such confrontations are likely to shape the narrative in the days to come.
