MPL T20 Scindia Cup: Rewa bowl out Bundelkhand Bulls for 74 for 9 wickets win

Indore, June 6 (IANS) Rewa Jaguars produced a clinical all-round display to outclass Bundelkhand Bulls by nine wickets in the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Saturday.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl, the Jaguars seized control of the contest from the outset. Bundelkhand Bulls captain and opener Abhishek Pathak survived a scare when a catch was dropped off the very first ball of the innings, but Rewa quickly made amends. Ramveer Gujjar struck on the next delivery to remove Harsh Gawali for a golden duck, giving his side the perfect start.

The early breakthrough triggered a collapse as the Bulls failed to recover from the pressure applied by the Jaguars’ disciplined bowling attack. Wickets fell at regular intervals, preventing the batting side from building any meaningful partnerships. By the 12th over, Bundelkhand Bulls were reeling at 58/6 and never managed to regain momentum.

Ramveer Gujjar emerged as the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 16 in 2.3 overs. He received excellent support from Sagar Solanki, Rohit Rajawat, and Prithviraj Singh Tomar, who claimed two wickets apiece as the Jaguars bundled out Bundelkhand Bulls for just 74 in 15.3 overs.

Amid the collapse, Parth Goswami was the lone bright spot for the Bulls. The batter showed some resilience and fought his way to 25 runs off 30 balls before being trapped lbw by Rohit Rajawat. He was the only player from his side to reach double figures, underlining the extent of the batting struggles.

In reply, Rewa Jaguars turned the chase into a one-sided affair. Opener Akshat Raghuwanshi unleashed a stunning assault on the bowlers, smashing 42 runs from only 14 deliveries. His explosive knock included four boundaries and four sixes and effectively ended the contest within a few overs.

Thanks to Raghuwanshi’s blistering innings, Rewa Jaguars raced to the target in just 5.1 overs, finishing on 75/1 and sealing a commanding nine-wicket victory. The comprehensive win showcased the Jaguars’ dominance with both ball and bat as they wrapped up the match in emphatic fashion.
