New Delhi, June 7 (IANS) The controversy surrounding educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, has intensified after an FIR was registered against him in connection with a firing at a coaching institute in Patna’s Kadamkuan area, with his relatives and neighbours making grave allegations against him.

As the investigation continues, reactions have emerged from his family members and neighbours in Deoria.

On the FIR against the educator, his uncle, Nisar Ahmad Khan, said, “He does not have any significant academic qualifications, and the degrees associated with him are not genuine. He is, however, very skilled at speaking and earns his livelihood through his oratory. Initially, he had a good nature, but later, with a mindset of earning more and more, he changed. As we heard, controversy erupted after he used his photo on posters of top-performing students who scored well in exams; his nature is ruthless.”

A neighbour also made allegations, stating, “However, we recently came to know about a dispute in our locality. It is alleged that, by exerting pressure and misusing his position and money, he tried to intimidate other nearby residents and us. Our boundary wall was forcibly demolished, and we feel he was behind it…”

Meanwhile, police in Patna have registered a case against Faisal Khan alias Khan Sir, along with two arrested security guards and other unidentified persons, in connection with the June 2 incident at the Kadamkuan coaching institute.

According to officials, the FIR has been lodged under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with attempt to murder, along with relevant provisions of the Arms Act. The complaint was filed by Kadamkuan police station Inspector Anil Kumar.

Investigators said the case gained momentum after a video surfaced allegedly showing two security guards firing in the air during the incident at around 10:10 p.m. on June 2.

Two security personnel, identified as Talebar Singh and Pradeep Kumar, both residents of Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested. Police are also verifying arms licences reportedly issued outside Bihar.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing and all angles, including the role of other unidentified persons named in the FIR, are being examined.
