‘Unprecedented milestone collective expression of trust, affection’: CMs of NDA-ruled states as PM Modi becomes longest-serving head of govt

New Delhi, June 10 (IANS) Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history, saying that this unprecedented milestone in Indian democracy is a collective expression of the trust, affection, and blessings of the entire nation.

“Heartfelt congratulations to the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi—the charioteer of ‘Amrit Kaal’ and a leader steadfastly dedicated to the service, security, and prosperity of 145 crore Indians—on becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history”, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath posted on X.

“This unprecedented milestone in Indian democracy is a collective expression of the trust, affection, and blessings of the entire nation. Rarely in history does one witness a leadership that embodies not merely a government, but the very consciousness of an era. This honor is a tribute to the dedication, sacrifice, vision, and devotion to the nation that have united crores of citizens with the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India),” he said.

“It is my earnest prayer that your ceaseless pursuit of national service continues to script new sagas of India’s progress, prestige, and prowess,” CM Yogi added.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a post on X, said: “4,399 days and counting. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s leadership has shaped an era marked by Vishwas, Vikas and Jan Kalyan. Rooted in the philosophy of Antyodaya, this transformative journey has empowered millions, enhanced India’s standing in the world and owards a Viksit Bharat.”

Andhra Pradeshh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also took to X for his wishes.

“Some leaders govern a nation. A few reshape its trajectory. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s 4,399 consecutive days in office have been defined by a singular effort to transform India at every level, from the everyday lives of its s standing in the world. Today, as he becomes India’s longest-serving Prime Minister, we celebrate not merely a record, but a period of change that has touched every corner of the country.”

“From a water tap in a humble home to Chandrayaan reaching the Moon, from the aspirations of a farmer in the field to the courage of a soldier on the border, his leadership has sought to ensure that the benefits of progress reach every Indian while strengthening the nation’s confidence and capabilities,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu further said that a defining feature of this journey has been the balance between welfare and development.

By combining support for the most vulnerable with reforms that have expanded opportunity, accelerated growth, and strengthened India’s economic foundations, he has shown that compassion and ambition can go hand in hand,” he added.

“India today is more confident in its future, more ambitious in its goals, and more determined in its pursuit of excellence. On behalf of my people of Andhra Pradesh, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on this remarkable milestone. We remain committed to building Swarna Andhra and contributing to the realization of his vision of Viksit Bharat,” he said.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also congratulated PM Modi, saying: “History remembers milestones. Nations remember the leaders who shape them. Congratulations to Adarniya Shri Narendra Modi Ji on becoming India’s longest serving elected Prime Minister.”

He further said that over the past 4,399 days, PM leadership has driven reform, expanded opportunity and shaped the journey.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the 12 years of Prime Minister Modi’s tenure have been a source of great pride for every Indian.

“The Prime Minister who has been continuously elected by the people and has been serving for the longest time!From the digital revolution to the world’s tallest monument, mother. The 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s tenure have been a source of great pride for every Indian, progress for the nation and a huge boost for the world,” he said.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also extended heartfelt congratulations. “4,399 days dedicated to the holistic development of India with the goal of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person). Heartfelt congratulations from the people of Madhya Pradesh to the illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi—the embodiment of the aspirations of all of India—for providing historic leadership as the elected Prime Minister for the longest tenure in the history of independent India.”

“In the world’s largest democracy, this moment transcends mere economic progress; it reflects the nation’s self-confidence, self-reliance, and sense of national pride. While realizing the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047), the respected Prime Minister has made the poor, farmers, women, and the youth the driving forces of this journey of development. Our best wishes are that this ceaseless journey, undertaken with the resolve of Antyodaya, continues to move forward with momentum,” he said.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said: “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on setting a new record as India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.”

“Under your visionary leadership, India has scaled new heights in development, good governance, self-reliance, and global stature. Achievements such as empowerment, youth upliftment, modern infrastructure, the resurgence of Sanatan culture, a strong and modern military, and progress in science and technology have laid a robust foundation for a ‘New India.’ Historic decisions taken in the national interest have infused the citizens with renewed confidence and energy,” he said.

“On this historic milestone, I extend heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you on behalf of every resident of Uttarakhand,” he said.
