Loni (Uttar Pradesh), June 11 (IANS) In a shocking case of murder, a 22-year-old youth was brutally stabbed to death in Loni area of Ghaziabad, police said on Thursday. The police have registered a murder case against four accused based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family and have initiated an investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Tasleem, who lived with his family in Loni’s Ashiyana City and worked at a salon. His family members alleged that the victim was killed due to an old rivalry.

According to a complaint filed by the victim’s father at the Loni Police Station, some youths called Tasleem out of the house around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The accused allegedly took him near a shrine (‘mazar’) in Malik City, where they first assaulted and then stabbed him multiple times.

The deceased’s family members said that Tasleem sustained more than seven stab wounds.

Upon receiving information about the incident, relatives rushed to the spot and found him lying in a critically injured condition. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The news of the youth’s death plunged the family into grief.

The family has named four individuals in the complaint and accused them of murder.

The police have registered a case and are conducting raids to arrest the accused.

Loni Assistant Commissioner of Police, Siddharth Gautam, said: “An FIR in the case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Teams have been formed to nab the accused.”

The police official added that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

He also said that the case is being investigated from all angles, and the accused will be arrested soon.

The victim’s family has reportedly claimed that Tasleem’s brother had also been murdered in the past, further strengthening the suspicion of an old enmity. Police are examining this angle as part of the investigation.
