Kesli (Madya Pradesh), June 14 (IANS) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday released the 37th instalment of the flagship ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’, transferring Rs 1,835 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 1.25 crore beneficiary women across Madhya Pradesh.

During a public event held at Kesli in the Deori Assembly constituency of Sagar district, the Chief Minister transferred Rs 1,500 each to eligible ‘Ladli Behnas’ with a single click. This direct benefit transfer marks another significant step towards women’s financial empowerment and self-reliance in the state.

On the same occasion, CM Yadav gifted the Deori Assembly constituency 53 development projects worth approximately Rs 190.85 crore. These include the ground-breaking ceremony for 28 new projects costing Rs 122.02 crore and the inauguration of 25 completed projects valued at Rs 68.83 crore.

Addressing a gathering of women, the Chief Minister launched a scathing attack on the Congress, alleging that it had always humiliated women and done little for their economic upliftment.

The projects are expected to significantly improve infrastructure and public amenities in the region.

The ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’ continues to be one of the flagship welfare schemes of the Madhya Pradesh government, aimed at providing financial assistance to women from economically weaker sections.

The scheme extends benefits to permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh. Key eligibility conditions include a family annual income below Rs 2.5 lakh, no family member being in government service, family landholding not exceeding five acres of agricultural land, and no ownership of a four-wheeled vehicle by the family.

Married, widowed, abandoned and divorced women between 21 and 60 years of age are eligible to apply.

The scheme has emerged as a major support mechanism for women across the state, helping them become financially stronger and more self-reliant.

Chief Minister Yadav’s dual focus on welfare schemes and development works reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive growth, ensuring that benefits reach the grassroots while strengthening local infrastructure.

The Ladli Behna Yojana has already provided substantial support to crores of women, helping them become financially stronger and more self-reliant.
