New Delhi, June 20 (IANS) Ahead of NEET UG 2026 re-test on June 21, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood visited CM Shri School, Pandara Road, and inspected the arrangements made at the examination centre for students and their family members.

Senior officials of the Education Department and the concerned SDM were also present during the inspection, said an official on Saturday.

Following the inspection, Sood said that the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has made effective arrangements across Delhi to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the NEET examination, in which nearly 50,000 Delhi students are likely to appear on Sunday.

He said that a large number of parents accompany their children from distant areas to examination centres for the NEET examination, and keeping this in mind, air-conditioned and comfortable cooling zones have been set up at 97 examination centres, where parents and students can rest before the examination.

He added that these cooling zones will provide seating facilities, clean drinking water, ORS, lime water, and first-aid facilities to ensure that parents and students do not face any inconvenience.

Sood said that students arriving at the examination centres before the designated reporting time may also make use of these cooling zones.

He said Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is personally monitoring the preparations on a continuous basis and has issued necessary directions to all departments.

He added that he himself is visiting various examination centres to review the arrangements.

Sood said that the government has established 97 examination centres across Delhi for the NEET examination, including 69 Government Schools and 28 Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Strict security arrangements have also been put in place by the district administration and police around all examination centres, he said.

He said that, for the first time in Delhi, comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure that students appearing for the NEET examination and their parents do not face any inconvenience due to the prevailing heat. This initiative reflects the Chief Minister Smt. ‘s sensitive and caring approach. Rekha Gupta towards students and their families.

The Education Minister stated that the Delhi government’s endeavour is to ensure that every candidate takes the examination in a stress-free environment and that parents are also provided with the necessary facilities.
