Amaravati, June 21 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said on Sunday that yoga gave him a deeper sense of clarity and inner maturity that profoundly shaped his journey.

On International Yoga Day, the Jana Sena leader shared his thoughts on the social media platform ‘X’.

The actor-politician revealed that he began his journey with yoga at a young age.

“Yoga is an integral part of Bharat’s civilisational ethos and a timeless gift that Bharat has offered to the world. It promotes physical well-being, mental clarity, inner balance, and a healthier way of life. May everyone embrace yoga as a way of life and make it a part of their daily routine,” he said.

“I began my journey with yoga at a young age. At a time when my mind was filled with many questions, yoga gave me not just answers, but a deeper sense of clarity and inner maturity that profoundly shaped my journey,” said Pawan Kalyan.

“Practices such as Kriya Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and the Art of Living’s Sudarshan Kriya continue to remain an integral part of my daily life,” he added.

The Deputy CM extended his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ‘his visionary efforts in securing global recognition for yoga and for leading the initiative to have June 21 observed worldwide as International Yoga Day.’

Meanwhile, State Home Minister V. Anitha participated in the 12th International Yoga Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.

She, along with Legislative Whip Ganababu and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, performed yoga asanas at the event held at Sagarika Function Hall on Beach Road.

Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore, Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Kethan Garg, Joint Collector Gobbilla Vidyadhari, Andhra Pradesh University Vice-Chancellor G.P. Rajasekhar and officials participated.

Representatives from the Yoga Association and various other associations, as well as ordinary citizens and the youth, participated in the event.
