Chandigarh, July 12 (IANS) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday visited Jind to review preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on July 17 to flag off the country’s first hydrogen-powered train from Jind.

He issued necessary directions to officials regarding the arrangements.

The Chief Minister visited Eklavya Stadium and reviewed the layout of the programme venue. He took stock of the main ‘pandal’, sector-wise arrangements, parking facilities, a media lounge, security measures, and other logistical preparations. He directed officials to ensure that no shortcomings remain in the arrangements for this important event and that all preparations are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

CM Saini said that on July 17, PM Modi will flag off the country’s first hydrogen-powered train from Jind. The hydrogen train, which will run between Jind and Sonipat, will be a major achievement for both Haryana and the nation.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth several crores across various districts of the state, directly benefiting the people.

CM Saini said the Prime Minister’s visit is a matter of pride for the state. To ensure the success of the programme, administrative officials, public representatives, and party workers must work in close coordination.

After the inspection, the Chief Minister held a meeting with ministers, public representatives, and senior officials at the PWD Rest House to review the arrangements.

The meeting focused on traffic management, the availability of CNG buses and electric vehicles, parking arrangements, and the movement of visitors.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that people attending the programme do not face any inconvenience and that special attention is given to traffic and vehicle management.

CM Saini further instructed officials to maintain continuous administrative monitoring of security, traffic, and parking arrangements. He emphasised that all departments should work in close coordination to ensure that the Prime Minister’s visit to Jind is historic and successful.
