Anyone guilty in Ram Mandir donation case must not be spared, says Paramhansa Acharya

New Delhi, July 13 (IANS) Amid the controversy surrounding alleged irregularities in donations to the Ram Temple, Tapaswi Chhawni Jagadguru Paramhansa Acharya on Monday said that anyone found guilty of wrongdoing in connection with the temple should face strict action, while cautioning that any investigation should not be influenced by political considerations.

Speaking to IANS, Paramhansa Acharya said, “The Ram Mandir is a centre of faith, and people from across the world have deep reverence for it. If anyone has committed a grave wrongdoing in connection with the Ram Mandir, they should not be spared. There should be no bias in such a matter.”

He, however, questioned the motives of the Opposition, saying, “Any investigation should not be conducted merely at the behest of the INDI alliance. Those who have opposed the Ram Mandir and, according to me, have never even visited it, have no moral right to comment on matters related to the temple. They only want to defame it.”

Meanwhile, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust trustee Mahant Dinendra Das visited the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya on Monday. During his visit, he offered prayers at various temples within the complex and inspected the temple’s donation counting centre as well as the pilgrim service centre.

The donation row has also prompted demands for an independent inquiry from religious leaders in Ayodhya.

Reacting to the controversy, Siddh Peeth Hanumangarhi Mahant Deveshacharya Ji Maharaj described the issue as “extremely serious and highly sensitive” and called for a fair and impartial investigation.

“The issue concerning the Ram Temple is extremely serious and highly sensitive. Therefore, the entire Hindu community, the residents of Ayodhya, and everyone else have one common demand: that the matter be investigated in a fair and impartial manner. Such an impartial investigation can only be ensured by the Supreme Court. A petition has been filed today, and it is scheduled to be heard today,” he said.

The remarks come amid growing political and public debate over allegations related to donations received by the Ram Temple Trust. While some have demanded an independent probe into the matter, religious leaders have stressed that any investigation must be impartial and free from political influence, given the temple’s immense religious significance for millions of devotees.
