Bengaluru, July 14 (IANS) The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Karnataka has gathered pace, with 95.10 per cent of Enumeration Forms (EFs) distributed to eligible voters and nearly 36 per cent of the forms digitised, according to the latest data released by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Karnataka, on Tuesday.

According to the CEO’s update, 5,27,15,809 Enumeration Forms, accounting for 95.10 per cent, have been distributed across the state.

It may be noted that as of June 16, Karnataka has 5,54,32,314 electors on its electoral rolls. The house-to-house enumeration and digitisation exercise is being carried out from June 30 to July 29, 2026.

The distribution drive has reached completion in 42,834 polling stations, representing 72.54 per cent of all polling stations, while another 8,216 polling stations (13.91 per cent) have achieved more than 90 per cent distribution.

On the digitisation front, 1,99,51,636 Enumeration Forms, or 35.99 per cent, have been digitised so far.

A total of 17 polling stations have completed 100 per cent digitisation, while 1,454 polling stations have crossed the 90 per cent digitisation mark.

The Election Commission has also received 2,21,814 Enumeration Forms through the online submission facility, accounting for 0.40 per cent of the total electorate.

During the ongoing verification process, election officials have identified 11,89,525 electors under the ASDDO (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate or Otherwise) category for further verification.

The exercise has so far identified 1,27,516 untraceable or absent electors, 6,79,906 permanently shifted electors, 3,19,822 deceased electors, 58,602 voters already enrolled elsewhere, and 3,679 electors under other categories.

The Special Intensive Revision is aimed at updating and purifying Karnataka’s electoral rolls by verifying the details of every elector through a door-to-door exercise, while allowing voters to submit their Enumeration Forms both offline through Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and online. The verification and digitisation process will continue until July 29, 2026.
