New Delhi/Bhopal, July 16 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will participate in the two-day FAITH Conclave 2026 in New Delhi on Thursday, where policymakers and industry leaders will deliberate on measures to strengthen India’s tourism sector and position it as a key driver of economic growth, employment generation and regional development.

The conclave, being organised by the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH), is being held on July 16 and 17 under the theme “Incredible India: Invaluable Economics”.

According to a statement issued by the Madhya Pradesh government, the event will provide a common platform for policymakers, tourism experts and industry leaders to discuss a roadmap for accelerating the growth of the travel and hospitality sector.

A key agenda of the conclave will be the proposed “Tourism Growth Charter”, a time-bound action plan aimed at expanding tourism opportunities across the country.

The charter proposes according infrastructure status to the tourism sector, developing 50 tourist destinations in mission mode and promoting “Brand India” more effectively in global tourism markets.

The conclave will also deliberate on simplifying the visa regime, increasing investment in tourism infrastructure and encouraging greater private sector participation through a single-window clearance mechanism.

“The Tourism Growth Charter seeks to accelerate economic growth, generate employment and promote balanced regional development by unlocking the full potential of the tourism sector,” the Madhya Pradesh government said in a statement.

The state government said Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s participation in the conclave would provide an opportunity to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s tourism strengths before national policymakers and leading stakeholders from the travel and hospitality industry.

“Madhya Pradesh has emerged as an attractive tourism and investment destination. The Chief Minister’s participation in the FAITH Conclave is expected to open new avenues for tourism investment and further strengthen the state’s position on the national tourism map,” the government said.

FAITH, the apex body representing India’s tourism, travel and hospitality sector, is expected to bring together senior government functionaries, industry leaders and experts to discuss policy reforms and investment strategies to make tourism a stronger contributor to the country’s economy.
