The Telugu Association of Australia Inc. (TAAI) joined thousands of community members at the ‘Melbourne Meets Modi’ event at Marvel Stadium, celebrating the growing Australia–India partnership.
According to the association, about 30,000 people attended the event, which highlighted the expanding cooperation between Australia and India in trade, innovation, education, culture and people-to-people ties.
TAAI said the gathering featured cultural performances celebrating India’s rich heritage, while addresses by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
The association acknowledged the support of Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan and commended the Australia India Foundation for organising the event.
Describing the occasion as a celebration of the enduring friendship between Australia and India, TAAI said it looked forward to continuing its contribution to strengthening community and cultural links between the two countries.
