Lucknow, Aug 16 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Minister O.P. Rajbhar on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, claiming that the former Chief Minister has run out of substantive issues to raise against the state government and is therefore resorting to what he described as “clowning around”.

Rajbhar’s remarks came after the SP chief took to social media and shared a photograph showing a family travelling on a motorcycle, with six people, along with luggage, seen riding on the two-wheeler. Yadav raised concerns over road safety and warned people against travelling in such a manner.

Reacting to the post, Rajbhar alleged that Yadav was highlighting such matters because he had no substantial issue left to raise against the government.

Taking to X, Rajbhar criticised the SP chief and said, “While sitting in the Opposition, you don’t have any real issues left to raise, so you’ve resorted to clowning around. Well, you wouldn’t find any issues anyway. The government is working on concerns ranging from the poor to women, and from farmers to youth. Criminals are being sent exactly where they belong. The goons who used to collect weekly extortion money are now only seen at your rallies and gatherings.”

Rajbhar further mocked Yadav over his political activities and social media posts, taking a swipe at the SP leadership and its supporters.

“As the head of the Family Development Authority, Party of Dominating Akhilesh, go ahead and post something — your loader disciples will cheer for you, and you’ll feel happy. It’s a great way to amuse yourself,” the Minister said.

Continuing his attack, Rajbhar alleged that Yadav had become accustomed to sitting in air-conditioned surroundings and making posts on social media without addressing substantive political issues.

“Now that you’re used to sitting in AC and tweeting, you’re posting whatever comes to mind. Go ahead, it’s good. If you say so, we’ll have our young workers send you some funny videos. Keep posting,” the Minister added.
