India’s traditional art and its vision for the future came together in Brisbane at a Gond Art Workshop organised by the Consulate General of India (CGI), Brisbane, in association with MYArCC.
According to an update issued by CGI Brisbane, the workshop was organised on the theme of Viksit Bharat, bringing together traditional Indian art and ideas about India’s development vision.
Participants were introduced to the distinctive tradition of Gond art and given an opportunity to explore their creativity through the art form. The Consulate said the workshop also provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas on Viksit Bharat 2047 and the GYAN framework for a developed India.
The initiative connected India’s artistic heritage with contemporary discussions about the country’s future. CGI Brisbane described the workshop as a confluence of art, culture and ideas for a developed India.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for members of the community to engage directly with an Indian traditional art form while participating in discussions around India’s development vision.
