The Consulate General of India in Sydney facilitated a meeting between Prabhat, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and officials from the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) with the Director of the Centre for Australia India Relations on August 17.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Australia and India under the Audio Visual Co-production Agreement and identifying opportunities for closer engagement in the film and audio-visual sectors.
The delegation also visited the Sydney headquarters of the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) and held discussions with its leadership team on potential areas of collaboration.
The talks explored greater SBS participation in major Indian events, including the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and WAVES, with the aim of expanding cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries.
