Consul General Kajari Biswas recently met MLA Don Punch, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Water, Climate Resilience and the South West, to explore opportunities for strengthening cooperation and advancing regional development initiatives in Western Australia.
The discussions highlighted the importance of building stronger Indigenous partnerships and encouraging cultural exchanges between Indian and Western Australian artists. Both sides also examined prospects for boosting trade facilitation between India and the South West region, recognising the growing scope for economic engagement.
Participants acknowledged the role of the Indian community in Bunbury in promoting people-to-people ties and contributing to collaborative initiatives between India and Western Australia. The meeting also included an exchange of views on sharing best practices in water management, climate resilience strategies, and addressing the challenges posed by the transition to green energy on water resources.
