The Consulate General of India, Sydney has announced the organisation of a Flag Hoisting Ceremony to commemorate the 77th Republic Day of India, inviting members of the Indian community to take part in the celebrations.
The ceremony is scheduled for 9.00 am on January 26, 2026, and will be held at the Consulate’s premises at Level 2, 265 Castlereagh Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The event forms part of the official observance of Republic Day by the Indian mission in Australia.
The Consulate has informed that prior registration is compulsory for those wishing to attend the ceremony. Registration details have been made available through official channels.
Republic Day marks the coming into force of the Constitution of India and is a key national event celebrated by Indians across the world, including the Indian diaspora in Australia.
