A moving dance presentation set to India’s National Song, Vande Mataram, by a local Cairns-based artist was the highlight of an official community programme held during the visit of the High Commissioner and the Consul General on December 12–13.
The performance took place in Cairns and formed part of the community engagement activities organised alongside the diplomatic visit. The presentation reflected deep cultural pride and showcased the talent within the local community.
Attended by community members, the event added a strong cultural and artistic element to the official visit, reinforcing the importance of cultural expression in fostering community connections and people-to-people ties.
