Brisbane’s River City Cultural Club hosted a spectacular Holi celebration on March 2, 2025, bringing together the Indian community and friends for a day filled with colour, music, and joy. The event, aptly named Rang Barse, lived up to its name as attendees enthusiastically embraced the festival’s spirit of unity and happiness.
Among the distinguished guests was Pankaj Agarwal, Assistant Treasurer of the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ), who represented the organization at the event. The celebration featured vibrant performances, traditional Holi festivities, and a lively atmosphere that left attendees in high spirits.
Event MC Jyoti Goraya kept the energy high, engaging the crowd, and ensuring the smooth flow of activities.
With people smearing each other with bright gulal (coloured powder), dancing to Bollywood beats, and sharing delicious Indian sweets, the event truly captured the essence of Holi— the festival of colours and love. Community members expressed their appreciation for the well-organized event, highlighting the importance of such celebrations in fostering multicultural harmony in Queensland.
The success of Rang Barse 2025 reaffirmed Brisbane’s growing enthusiasm for Indian cultural festivals, making it a day to remember for all who attended.
