The Consulate General of India in Sydney, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in Australia, hosted a vibrant event on February 24, 2025, celebrating Kashi Tamil Sangamam 3.0. The gathering highlighted the deep cultural and spiritual connections between North and South India, reinforcing the nation’s unity in diversity.
The event brought together community members and dignitaries who reflected on the significance of the Sangamam in strengthening historical ties between Tamil Nadu and Kashi (Varanasi). Sydney-based community leader Anna Sundaram emphasized its role in preserving India’s rich cultural heritage and fostering national integration. He also spoke about the life and contributions of Sage Agathiyar, a revered figure in Tamil traditions, known for his wisdom and influence on language, literature, and spirituality.
