The Consulate General of India in Sydney, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Hindu Council Australia, hosted a special event on February 24, 2025, celebrating the spiritual grandeur of Maha Kumbh 2025.
Dignitaries and community leaders gathered at the Consulate to reflect on the cultural and spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. The discussions emphasized the deep-rooted traditions and global appeal of this sacred event, which takes place at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj.
The event also spotlighted Uttar Pradesh as a premier destination for culture and tourism, showcasing its vast heritage, from the ancient ghats of Varanasi to the spiritual vibrance of Prayagraj. Speakers highlighted the state’s commitment to preserving its religious and historical sites, drawing global interest in India’s spiritual tourism.
