The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) organised a grand Diwali Celebration Reception, bringing together community representatives, dignitaries and leaders from across the state. Among the invited guests were the President of the Malayalee Association of Queensland (MAQ), Neethu Bijor, and Vice President, Reshma Ratheesh, who attended the event on behalf of MAQ.
The reception highlighted the unifying spirit of Diwali, celebrating cultural diversity and community harmony. MAQ representatives expressed their gratitude to FICQ for the invitation and the opportunity to meet with the Consulate General, as well as State and Federal Ministers. The event reflected the growing collaboration and mutual respect among Queensland’s multicultural communities.
