High Commissioner of India participated in a Gurbani kirtan organised by the Australia India Punjabi Council in Canberra on 29 November 2025, marking the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadurji. The event was also addressed by Hon Andrew Leigh MP, Hon David Smith MP, and High Commissioner of Fiji H.E. Mr Ajay Amrit, bringing together the sangat in commemoration.
The High Commissioner emphasised how generations across borders and faiths continue to draw inspiration from Guru Tegh Bahadurji’s teachings of sacrifice and harmony. Special appreciation was extended to S. Ravinder Singh Sahni for guiding the Australia India Punjabi Council in organising this maiden event to highlight Punjab’s legacy of unity and resilience.
