Sikh Volunteers Australia hosted a significant commemoration at Australian Parliament House’s Great Hall on 27 November 2025 for the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadurji, highlighting his enduring legacy in defending faith and human dignity. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese sent a message of support, joined by MPs Julian Hill, Basem Abdo, Rob Mitchell, Alice Jordan-Baird and David Smith in celebrating Sikh contributions to Australia.
The event included langar, the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and a special exhibition of holy relics that illustrated Sikhism’s historical manuscripts and interfaith harmony, uniting guests from all communities.
