The Consul General of India in Perth engaged with members of the Indian student community during a roundtable organised by the Association of Indian Students Australia (AISA), focusing on support services and opportunities available to students.
During the interaction, the Consul General explained the role of the Consulate and outlined various consular services accessible to Indian students, aiming to improve awareness and accessibility.
The session featured contributions from community and academic leaders, including ISWA president Deepak Sharma, who spoke about student outreach initiatives, and ECCWA president Dr Sadhana Bose, who highlighted opportunities in STEM and community participation.
Dr Rekha Koul of Curtin University also addressed the gathering, sharing perspectives on studying in Perth and discussing both opportunities and challenges faced by international students.
The roundtable provided an interactive platform for students to raise queries and engage directly with experts. Organisers said the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen support networks and enhance the overall experience of Indian students in Western Australia.
